Along the way, you’ll learn about the history, culture, and daily life of the people of Zanzibar, and taste local snacks and drinks. The tour concludes with a stunning sunset view over the Indian Ocean, making it a perfect end to your day in Stone Town.

Meet your guide at the entrance of your hotel or resort in Stone Town

09:15am – 10:15am

Visit the Old Fort and learn about its history as a Portuguese military outpost and a slave market. See the cannons, barracks, and cultural events that now take place in the fort’s courtyard.

10:15am – 11:15am

Walk through the narrow alleyways of Stone Town and visit landmarks such as the House of Wonders, the Old Dispensary, and the Anglican Cathedral. Learn about the unique blend of Swahili, Arabic, and European cultures that have influenced Zanzibar over the centuries.

11:15am – 12:15pm

Explore the bustling bazaars of Stone Town, including the Darajani Market, where locals shop for spices, fish, and produce. Taste local snacks and drinks along the way.

12:15pm – 01:00pm

Visit the Forodhani Gardens and watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean while sampling delicious street food and fresh juices.


Return to your hotel or continue exploring Stone Town at your leisure.
